Top Tips for posting on LinkedIn

Updated: Jan 13, 2023

We're all in the same boat. We want more followers, more engagement, and more leads for our business. But it's hard to get there—especially on LinkedIn where the competition is so fierce.

LinkedIn is a great place to connect with professionals in your field and make new connections. But it can be hard to grow on LinkedIn, especially when you don't know where to start.

The biggest challenge on LinkedIn is creating content that people want to read and share. This is especially true if you're a business that's new to social media marketing—you might not have any followers yet!

But don't worry! You can get there. Here are some tips to help you grow your followers on LinkedIn:

1) Post regularly: Posting at least once a day is important, but posting 2-3 times a day will give you even better results.

2) Keep things interesting: Don't just post text-only posts! Use photos and videos, too!

3) Make sure your posts are relevant and targeted: Think about who would be interested in reading or seeing your post before you write it, and make sure that you're not just sending something out into the ether that doesn't speak directly to those people's interests or needs.

4) Be personal and friendly: Don't forget about the human side of social media! People connect with other people best—so don't be afraid to share your personality with them through posts like "just had my favorite coffee from [insert local coffee shop here]" or "here's my favorite quote from [insert awesome person here]."

5) Be consistent: It's important to stay active on social media, especially if you want it to be effective. If you're not posting regularly, people will forget about you and move on!

6) Be timely: People love to see what is happening right now, so make sure you post things that are relevant to the moment. For example, if there's a hot new movie out in theatres or an awesome local event coming up, share it with your followers!

7) Be helpful: Remember that social media is about sharing information—so be sure to provide some value in each post. Don’t just post about yourself; share interesting facts, funny memes, or other things that will keep your audience interested.

8) Be interactive: You can use social media to create a conversation with your followers. Ask questions, post polls, and encourage people to respond with their thoughts on the subject.

9) Be regular: Post regularly so that your followers know when to expect new content from you. This will also help build up an audience over time.

10)  Be patient: It takes time for social media posts to gain traction, so don’t give up after just one week if nothing has happened yet
